CLD was awarded “863 China National High-tech Research and Development Project of the eleventh Five-Year Plan” in 2007 and has successfully developed and produced hydrogen tanks for vehicles.

In Europe, Faurecia has been developing Type IV hydrogen tanks for years. The company has successfully delivered series to Stellantis for their first generation of light commercial vehicle (awarded in 2018) and to Hyundai for medium-duty truck X-Cient (awarded in 2019). In 2022, the company continues its commercial success through significant awards among with Hyvia to supply complete hydrogen storage systems for light commercial vehicles, completed with the recent contract to equip the new Renault Master H2-Tech with a complete hydrogen storage system which onboards up to 9kg of hydrogen.
